I really liked this story. The gritty reimagining of the classic fable of Santa, brought to a small village on the northern region of the Finland/Russian border, seemed very realistic to me. I’ve watched reality TV shows about living in the arctic circle (mostly Canada/Alaska), and it was very much as depicted in this movie.
The only real issue I had was the concept of selling Santa and his Elves for a profit, at the end of the movie… I mean, who would honestly purchase them?
For fans of Horror, I cannot recommend this movie enough. Well done, Norwegians… well done indeed.
