Into the Woods is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales in a musical format that follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel-all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife, their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch who has put a curse on them. This is a very fun movie filled with music, comedy, drama and… sexual innuendo up the wazzu.

The Witch

  • Was once a beautiful young woman, until the Baker’s father stole her magic beans.. For stealing the beans, the witch cursed their family to be barren. now she wishes to make a potion to change her back to her former glory, but needs the help of the Baker and his Wife. In exchange for their help, she will grant them a child.

The Baker & His Wife.

  • All they want is a happy family. When the witch promises them a child in return for the simple task of finding the ingredients to her potion.. they cant refuse! All they need are: The Cow as white as milk, the cloak as red as blood, the shoe as pure as gold, and the hair as yellow as corn. While looking at his father’s coat, he finds the magic beans. Funny, this entire movie could have been over right there if they had.. oh, I don’t know.. Given the Beans back to the Witch!! Oh well.

On their journey into the Woods, they come across the likes of Jack the Giant Slayer, Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella and Rapunzel. Guess what they all have.. if you said scenes with lots of singing and a great deal of sexual innuendo’s that will probably go over the head of your kids.. but you’ll get in an instant.. You’re right. OH.. and they all have the ingredients that the witch needs!

Now, the Baker and his Wife must collect their special somethings, and complete the spell.. oh, and they have to do it in 3 days.

Funny, catchy and just a bit of adult humor (no more than an old Bugs Bunny cartoon), go on and see it!
