I’ve been putting off seeing this movie for some time. Due mainly because it requires me to read subtitles – but, also because it has received so much praise in the independent film community. Usually when a movie is held is such high regards, it can’t live up to the hype.
This was a very stylish and artful presentation, with very little, to no scares. And, while very nicely shot and acted (and directed) – this is not a horror movie. In fact, if “The Girl” had not been a vampire, it wouldn’t have made any difference to the overall story. I would classify this film as Drama/Romance.
Will YOU like this movie? I’ll say this: With all due respect to the director, who made one hell of an artful vision.. Within the first 15 minutes, you will either love it, or fall asleep.
