On March 11th 2011, an earthquake registering an astounding 9.0, rocked Japan – sending tsunami across the landscape, and if that weren’t bad enough.. several aftershocks.. and now the threat of nuclear meltdown. Needless to say, the people of Japan are in bad shape.
As Linda “Brasse” Carlson (Director of Global Community Relations for SOE) announced on the Jethal Silverwing Show on March 15th, Sony Online Entertainment is helping the gaming community donate to the ongoing Relief efforts with two new in-game House items called “Memory of Spring” (500 station cash) and “Gift of Falling Blossoms” (200 station cash), which are available on the Station Markplace under a new category titled “Japan Relief Donation”.
The “Memory of Spring” house item is a (single) statue of a hooded, cloaked girl with her head bowed in mourning in a gentle shower of rose petals Cherry Blossoms. It’s alittle hard to see in the preview window, so I combined a left, right and straight ahead view. The Gift of Falling Blossoms is a shining sparkle of light, showered in a cascade of Cherry Blossoms (for an in-game preview, check out the Marketplace, or copy and paste this line, in-game)
