A bizarre series of murders in New York City seems to point toward the existence of a race of mutant cannibals living under the streets.
Wow.. OK, well.. I hadn’t seen this one in a long time.. like, I think I saw it on VHS back in the late 80’s.. Simply put, this is a fun night at the drive in, eating popcorn and trying to get to 2nd base with your girlfriend, kind of movie.
As far as stories go, I’ve seen a lot worse brought to the screen, it had some good moments, mostly ruined by very “80’s B-Horror” acting and production values. Let’s not forget, even though the 80’s brought us a lot of great moments in horror, the genre wasn’t looked upon in very high esteem.
Lots of blood, gore and government cover-ups to suit even the most concerning viewer. But, probably not for kids.
