A Christmas Carol

Marley was dead: to begin with. There is no doubt whatever about that. The register of his burial was signed by the clergyman, the clerk, the undertaker, and the chief mourner. Scrooge signed it: and Scrooge’s name was good upon ’Change, for anything he chose to put his hand to. Old Marley was as dead as a door-nail”

TNT’s ‘A Christmas Carol’ staring Patrick Stewart is a very literal interpretation of Dickens novel.. probably the closest I’ve seen. Even, seemingly insignificant details, such as the tiles around the fireplace, are brought to life. Everything from the set design and costuming is just fantastic, as well as the acting by all involved. Along with The Muppet’s Christmas Carol, this one is a continuing tradition in our house.
