This movie has a lot to offer. Laughs, Scares, Music and Fun. A dark comedy, more on the light side with humor that anyone could enjoy.. and with just enough adult laughs to make you wonder if you should have let the kids watch. Beetlejuice is the ghost you’d expect to see in your downtown bar. Rude, just a little offensive, and more than a little perverse. He’s like the obnoxious side kick from a popular buddy movie.. but, you know.. dead.
You really can’t help but feel for poor Adam and Barbara, here they are.. newly deceased, lost, confused and just trying to get on with their after-lives, when the big city Deetz’s move in and try to change their laid back country home into a L.A. Art exhibit. The only bright side in this scenario is Lydia, the Deetz’s goth daughter, who just so happens to be able to see them.
A great movie for all, though as stated before.. you might wanna watch the little ones.
