A small town in Ontario Canada is gripped by a madness that takes “Going Viral” to new heights as a psychological illness is spread by way of a trigger word. Mazzy is a radio DJ caught up in the unrest as the station’s helicopter reporter breaks in with news of a riot, and gets caught up in the mayhem.
The condition itself is interesting, the “trigger” is different for everyone and comes in three stages:
- Repeating words, as if stuck on a loop..
- Your language becomes scrambled and you can’t express yourself properly
- The third stage is that you become so distraught at your condition that the only way out of the situation you feel, as an infected person, is to try and chew your way through the mouth of another person.
Only the English Language seems to be infected. No one knows where it started or what caused it. The original screenplay was written as radio play, to be acted out similarly to the infamous War of the Worlds play by Orson Welles
