The Fly

A scientist has a horrific accident when he tries to use his newly invented teleportation device.

In an era where sci-fi has going crazy with giant insects and lizards, we are treated with one of the great movies in sci-fi history. Although Vincent Price is barely in the movie, he put on his typical great performance.

Everything in the movie was top notch for the time. The equipment was believable, the explanation of events, story and direction was good. Keeping into account that this was a 1958 film, I really dont think it could have been better. Even the fly costume was pretty good.

There was plenty of opportunity to really go cheese with this one, but it took itself seriously that has to be applauded.
