Tonight, I saw the finale of The Hunger Games saga, titled “Mockingjay pt 2” – Now, I’ll make the point here that I didn’t read the books, so I only have the films to go by.. so here we go!
I have a problem with stories about one person saving us all. That there is a “Chosen One”, in any scenario. Now, I’m not saying that Katniss did everything by herself, far from it.. she was only a figurehead behind the rebellion against the capitol. I get that. Now, all that being said.. I enjoyed the entire story as a movie-goer.
Everything from the acting, to special effects and story were very good. Thumbs up, I approve.
Now, without giving away too much, this twist ending was no twist, and anyone who didn’t see this coming, simply wasn’t paying attention. If fact, the actions in the “execution” scene were so obvious, that I actually shook my head. But, in all of that.. still entertaining, and will end up completing the collection in my library.
BTW.. the ending took a Lord of the Rings “Oh My God, they could have ended this movie 15 minutes ago!” turn that I didn’t approve of.
