While driving , the pregnant horror-movie actress Kyôko Harase and her fiancé are in a car crash caused by the Toshio’s friend. Kyôko loses her baby and her fiancé winds up in a coma. Kyôko was cursed together with a television crew when they shot a show in the haunted house where Kayako was brutally murdered by her husband years ago. While each member of the team dies or disappears, Kyôko is informed that she has a three-and-a-half-month-old fetus in her womb. (Source: IMDB)
A much different movie than the American version of part 2 of this horror franchise. Where the US Version concentrated on a continuation of “Karen’s” story, this story continues the story of the haunting, itself. Thoroughly creepy to the core, Kayako is the embodiment of horror and fear. I would have given it a higher score if it weren’t for the jumping timeline, that we saw in the first movie. But, that’s the issue with so much is happening at once.. what is the director to do? Split screens all running at the same time? That would be too distracting.
Highly recommended to accompany the first on a dark stormy night in front of the TV.
