Is it a surprise to anyone actually watching MTV that the network on Monday quietly dropped “Music Television” from its logo? Probably not. It’s a wonder that anyone even noticed the difference.
Monday, the 8th of February saw the first change to the Mtv Logo in 29 years, marking the total-scrapping of the original business model of a channel that broadcasts music news, information and videos – in stead, is now a cesspool of crappy reality tv shows.
As someone who grew up in the 80’s I can’t help but be alittle saddened by the turn of events that led to this abomination of a basic-cable station.
From “Video Killed the Radio Star” to “Snookie Gets Punched in the Face“, Mtv has made a dramatic shift to being exactly what my parents warned about.. “Total garbage that’ll rot your brain”
Music TeleVision – Rest in Peace. Finally.
